Honors Program

 

 

    • Students must earn grade of A in the core academic subjects—Language Arts—overall grade as well as all composite areas (Reading/Literature,Written Communication, Oral Communication, Spelling and Handwriting); Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and grades of A and B in all other subjects—Art, Music, Health Education, Physical Education, Computer Science (when graded) and World Language/Spanish.
    • Students must earn Outstanding or Satisfactory in all Effort Areas—Demonstrates Responsibility, Gets Along Well With Others; Shows Respect for Others; Demonstrates Self-Confidence; Respects Materials and Supplies; Shows Appropriate Behavior in Classroom; Follows Rules; Shows Appropriate Behavior in Other Areas; Classwork and Homework.
    • KINDERGARTEN – Students must earn a combination of Os and Ss in all areas graded and a majority of the grades must be Os—Language Arts, World Language/Spanish, Math, Science, Social Studies, Art/Music, Physical Development, Social Emotional Development, Homework and Work Habits.
