SCHOOL CLOSING INFORMATION
DURING BAD WEATHER CONDITIONS
If school is closed or has a late opening due to weather or other problems local radio and television stations will announce the information. The Burch Charter School of Excellence will follow the Irvington Board of Education when school is closed due to weather conditions. When the Irvington Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather the Irvington Fire Department will sound an alarm at 6:30 a.m. and again at 7:00 a.m. This notifies the township that the school district is closed for the day.
School closing information will be available at the school telephone number: (973) 373-3223 and a notification call will go out to Burch parents.
School closing will also be posted on the school website: www.burchcharterschool.org and on local television stations:

If for any reason, the Burch Charter School of Excellence has an emergency closing during the school day (e.g. snowstorm, power outage, etc.), the school staff will contact the parents/guardians.
