Our History
 

schoolphoto1The Leaguers Incorporated was founded in 1943 by the late Mary B. Burch and incorporated in 1948. The agency’s mission for over 50 years has been to enhance the quality of life for children and families through diverse programming that fosters self-growth, pride in one’ community, personal empowerment and the attainment of self-sufficiency. We believe in opportunity through education. Goals include assisting youth in self-realization by allowing them to express their talents, hobbies and specialties; stressing civic responsibilities and awakening a sense of economic self-sufficiency.

Burch Charter School of Excellence (BCSE) was founded in September, 2008.  Our primal mission is to enable students to reach their intellectual and personal potential.  We strive to instill integrity and respect in our students' in partnership with families and the community.  We maintain a blended learning environment that enhances positive character traits that ensures our students become productive 21st century world citizens.
The Burch Charter School of Excellence, a public school, is committed to providing best practices for educating our students in an environment that enables them to develop into critical thinkers that evolve into digital, life-long learners.  Our curriculum emphasizes literacy and mathematics infused with technology.

OUR SCHOOL DAY

Our school day begins at 8:00 A.M. each morning. Dismissal is at 3:30 P.M.  Breakfast is served at 7:30 A.M. each morning.

Our Water Is Safe

Burch Charter School of Excellence has Safe Water!

The water in our building has been tested for lead by Environmental Hazards Services, LLC and found to be very SAFE.

Peanut Free Lunch

BCSE has adopted a peanut free policy. Please do not send your child(ren) to school with any kind of peanut products for lunch.

Registration for 2017/18 school year started on January 9, 2017.

Registration will take place, Monday through Friday from 8:00am-9am or 2:00pm-3:00pm in the main office.

  • Announcement of lottery day, date and time will follow
  • Pre-acceptance letters will be sent out following the lottery
  • Upon completion and submission of all required documentation, your child(ren) will be fully enrolled.
